Chinese Air-defense troops stationed in Hong Kong conduct real-combat confrontation drill

 


Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) stationed in Hong Kong showed proficiency on operating new-type homemade air-defense weapon system by shooting down multiple models of air targets on September 19, 2012 in an air-defense troops’ real-combat confrontation drill organized by the Guangzhou Military Area Command (MAC) of the PLA in complex electromagnetic environment.





The new-type weaponry and equipment and improve troops’ capability in carrying out air-defense operation under complex electromagnetic conditions, the air defense troops stationed in Hong Kong worked together with their counterparts under the Guangzhou MAC and launched based real-combat confrontation drill. They also initiated the interception and crashing of high-speed targets by simultaneous firing of several guns.
